Frequently asked questions

MY BROWS AREN'T NATURALLY VERY FULL, WOULD I STILL BENEFIT FROM SHAPING OR OTHER SERVICES?

Yes! Just because your eyebrows aren't overly hairy doesn't mean they don't need to be properly shaped. Shaping your brows professionally gives your brows a fuller look. If need be, we can put you in our Brow Growth Program. You will begin to see improvements in your brow shape in six weeks. In addition, tinting is a great way to get you through the growth stages. Brow Shaping appointment includes a lesson on the best and simplest method to fill in your brows.

WHAT IS BROW LAMINATION?

Brow Lamination has taken the industry by storm. It is a three-step process that is often considered a microblading alternative that fills in gaps in the brow using your OWN hairs, which gives them the illusion of fullness and growth in a fast and non-invasive way. This process can drastically improve unruly or seemingly thin, over-tweezed brows by smoothing them out and lifting them in a more vertical direction. The brow hairs become more malleable, so you can brush them in the direction you like, resulting in wonderfully smooth and instantly fuller brows. Although brow lamination does not harm the hair or have any long-term negative effects, it is important to use brow oil post-treatment to keep them hydrated. You are able to receive a Brow Lamination no earlier than every eight weeks. It is recommended to schedule a maintenance appointment at four weeks for shaping, deep conditioning and if you wish, tinting.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BROW TINT/HYBRID & BROW HENNA?

There are a few options available to colour your brows depending on your natural brows and your desired look.

Brow Henna provides the longest skin stain lasting up to two weeks, while the hair stain generally lasts around four weeks. The results end in a slightly more powdered look. Brow Henna cannot be used at the same time as receiving a Brow Lamination.

Hybrid Tint lasts up to one week on the skin and six to eight weeks on the hairs. Hybrid Brows results in a more tattooed effect (strong-looking pigment). This tint can be used at the same time as your Brow Lamination.

Regular Brow tint gives the option of a non-existent or barely-there skin stain that only lasts a day or two on the skin. If you prefer to just have your hairs tinted, this is the one for you! The great benefit of this and any tint is that some hairs that are often relatively light do not add to your overall shape because they are so blonde. So by tinting them, your brow looks fuller! Regular tint can last from six to eight weeks.

CAN I GET BROW TINTING/BROW LAMINATION WHILE PREGNANT?

Though there have been no issues receiving any of these brow services while pregnant, the common practice is to wait until your second or third trimester if you wish to lean on the side of caution. Otherwise, it is dependant on your skin sensitivity. If you feel comfortable receiving Brow Lamination or Brow Tinting/Henna, then we do too!
